    Name: Maria d'la Rose Pryde [Last name later changed to Zaroff]
    Nickname/Alias: Mafia Zaroff || Roulette

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Race: Spirit-Borne; the only known person besides General Zaroff to carry on the secrets to the Spirit-Borne trait. Yet, unlike her father, Maria was only half Spirit-Borne as her mother was of a race unknown. Yet, as she grew up, Kaseki, her guardian, taught her to unlock another side of the Spirit-Borne trait which began morphing her into something else entirely.
    ”The Beginnings”:
    Maria: "Kaseki... I have a question, how did I obtain the soul of a spirit although I am human?"

    Kaseki had his hand on the book the moment Maria had asked him. How did she have a spirit's soul?

    "You see, like me, you were born a human. However in my life i was possessed by spirits claiming the memories and thoughts that I once had. So my body was turned spirit, and my soul fragmented and pieced together by the Spirits.

    You on the other hand was born a human to human parents, but never possessed, for you would hold their appearance. But after all I did raise you, so I must have taught you the ways of the Wilds and enhanced your very being. To yourself and others you are a mere human, a mortal... but to me, you are a spirit. Understand?"

    Kaseki seemed to confused himself with the matter. Then he had another thought.

    "I must have taught or shown you something that opened your eyes to the ways of Spirits. Only if I knew what it was..."

    Kaseki set the book alone on the desk. He knocked everything aside. Books, pages, a lamp all fell onto the floor.

    "There's something you know, that you know even know is from out of this world. We have to find what that is.

    Within all spirits reside a 'hidden power'. In order you cast the spells your mind has memorized, you must discover how to access it. Yes, confusing, it should be. Your mind and body is human, but your soul is spirit. It will make sense soon."

    Kaseki walked away from the desk, taking slow steps. He was distancing himself, but from what?

    "Maria, today you must choose your path, as a blond haired man one told me. 'Everything mist be exchanged equally.' Or something like that. To learn these spells and cast them, you are giving up your human life. All that you had. From this day you will be Spirit Born."

    Personality: Maria Zaroff was born to Russian General Zaroff in Ship-Wreck Island. She grew up watching her father hunt human beings to satisfy his thrill to hunt big game. Maria was taught the art of hunting and often accompanied her father during his hunts against ‘the scum of the Earth.’

    Maria holds a grudge against Mr. Sanger Rainsford, later known to be Kaseki (her mother -dun ask....) in disguise, for murdering her father at the end of the hunt. She stood against him at court passing herself as a maid in order to save herself, where, although Rainsford was proclaimed guilty of first degree murder, he was set free. Upon hearing the verdict, she left back to Ship-Wreck Island, where she upholds her father’s tradition to hunt big game.

    She is a natural born hunter and can play the role of seductress. She traps her victims by setting traps around the island. She then lures her victims to her castle, plays hostess, and brings them downstairs to where they are kept in cages until the hunt. She is kind to her victims for she shelters, feeds, and provides them a place to exercise until, of course, the day of the hunt.

    In some cases, she lets the sailors go, but they never know the fate in which they had escaped from. She lives happily in her island, but oftentimes returns to 'civilization' for a change of place.

    Maria is a strong leader and oftentimes is seen taking the role. She prefers to stay in the sidelines as a tactician and watching everything unfold yet, when she is needed, is seen taking the position of a sharpshooter/ sniper in battle. She dislikes hand-to-hand combat, much preferring the use of long range weapory, i.e. guns She works fairly well under a leader if, of course, the leader knows what he or she is doing. She also likes going into a fight, if absolutely necessary, with a battle plan at hand although she can very well adapt to the unexpected. At times, she may seem to be bossy, but that is because she has a much better plan at hand. She is also too prideful, which may be both a good and bad thing.

    1. Hounds - Maria has a love of dogs. She holds a strong connection to them thus making her quite a dog person.
    2. Adventure - Maria is a woman who strives towards reaching the unknown. Unafraid of putting her own life at risk, Maria rarely puts down the offer of a voyage to uncharted lands.
    3. Mind Games: Maria loves to stimulate her mind. She prefers to spend her time working with a puzzle or two and/or playing chess with a worthy opponent.

    1. Irrational Thinking - Maria is a woman of reason and quick action. Yet, when people who do not follow the basics of common sense, Maria has a hard time dealing with them.
    2. Being Kept In the Dark - Maria extremely hates not being told ahead of time when plans are changing. Especially when the plans revolve around her. This tends to be one of her biggest pet peeves.
